Underneath your sink and in your cabinets lies an undeniable truth about homemade dog shampoo. You can create some amazing oatmeal shampoo for dogs. Why would you want to use a shampoo that contains oatmeal you ask? There are multiple reasons but basically you save a ton of money, get a great coat and an awesome smelling pooch.
You won’t believe how easy this oatmeal shampoo for dogs recipe is….
1 Cup of Oatmeal
1 Cup of Baking Soda
4 Cups of Warm Water
1 Teaspoon of Dishwashing Liquid
You can also add some scented fragrance if you’d like, obviously that’s where the fabulous smell comes from.
As usual you’ll need some sort of container. I’m a big fan of mason jars for this because their cheap, easy and reusable.
To make the actual homemade dog shampoo just combine all the ingredients in a blender until smooth. As an added benefit you’ll notice your dog’s skin should be less dry from the oatmeal shampoo and your wallet should thank you.
Give it a shot next time you have to give your dog a bath and see how it works out. I mean it’s less than a dollar and 5 minutes to make. Might as well give it a shot.
This isn’t meant for flea treatment. If you are having trouble with fleas on your dog check out this post on homemade dog shampoo for fleas.
